Growing

In Canada, Seed Corn is only produced in Southwestern Ontario; particularly Chatham-Kent and Norfolk counties. The SCGO represents over 200 growers within this area.

Producing

The SCGO have maintained above average yields of seed corn for over the last 15 years. We produce enough seed to keep 5 companies in operation and over 5,00 people employed.

Managing

The operation of the SCGO is primarily to achieve contractual obligations between the producers and the companies in order to create a viable business opportunity for both parties.

Administering

We help our growers to produce qualiy seed corn with a good return. The SCGO's role is to facilitate production contracts to create a competitive market for our seed corn companies.
